There was a great PMD hatch going on up the Frying Pan today. Between 1 and 4pm they were coming off really well, the fish were rising frequently and catching them was quite easy.

The fish are little but really fun to catch. Here are a couple photos from the fourth of July weekend. A hopper pattern with an egg pattern following was a successful set up.

Down valley towards Glenwood Springs is pretty good right now using a deer hair caddis as a dry fly. Further upvalley towards Basalt and Aspen stonefly nymphs are good as well as egg patterns. Even though the runoff is real big, there are still fish to be had
